Defenseman Bob Hess was a journeyman in the NHL. He played in the NHL from 1974-84. He played in 329 career regular-season games and four playoff games. Hess had stints with St. Louis, Buffalo and Hartford. Hess played from 1974-79 and 1980-81 with the Blues. While in St. Louis, Hess played in 293 regular-season games and scored 114 points on the strength of 87 assists. He also competed in three playoff games for St. Louis and one assist.
During his career with the Blues, Hess collected 166 penalty minutes.
